Due to the pandemic, I have many relatives and friends who are unable to spend Chinese New Year with their loved ones this year. As my dad is a Malaysian, we would usually celebrate CNY there with a lot of our Malaysian relatives; this is the first time in my 26 years of living that I’m eating reunion dinner at home (literally) in Singapore. I’m lucky to have my family with me here but many others have loved ones that are overseas. Despite so, I believe we are all working hard for our future; better times will be here one day!

因为疫情的关系，我身邊有很多亲戚朋友都無法返鄉過年。我爸爸是马来西亚人，我们平时新年都会在马来西亚度过，今年是我活了26年以来第一次在新加坡的家里吃团圆饭！这首歌的创作/编曲人 Ong Zong Yu 的妹妹和父母也在国外，而在这首歌里饶舌的 音乐门涂 (涂西门)，在疫情之前都是每天来回JB - 疫情发生至今，应该有一年没回家了吧。即便如此，他总是那么乐观向上，充满活力 💪 Respect！
